A static stretch is a stretch used while the body is at rest. It is important to hold the stretch for at least 30 seconds each for the best warm up and results.

You should always stretch before every exercise. Here, I will show some examples of ARM stretches one can do as a warm up.

Behind the back, down the spine, this stretch is good for warming up your triceps.

Across the body, this stretch is good for warming up your shoulders.

Behind the back, you will feel this stretch in your back and shoulders.

Holding your hands behind your head, you will feel this stretch in your biceps.
